Antoni Gorecki

(born 1787 in Vilna. September 18, 1861 i n Paris) - Polish poet, satirist and fabulist, the November Upris ing and a participant of the Napoleonic wars. He came from a nobl e family coat of arms Dolega sealed. He was the son of Valentine and Anna ReuttĂłw. During 1802-1805 studied at the Faculty of Literature at Vilnius University. During his studies, he met and befriended Lelewel. Sneaked up to the Grand Duchy of Warsaw and enlisted in the Polish Army. In 1809-1812 he took part in Napoleons campaigns, and in the years 1815-1818 and traveled widely.
